about

Frustrated with all of the efforts you're putting into social media and getting almost nothing back as a return (how is that social by the way?!?) you start to question whether such an apparatus was even built for people like you or whether you're just too stupid to realize a simple truth that everyone else has miraculously dipped into. "Is this my thing?" is the fundamental question here. "Maybe paying the social media platforms in order to get some love back will help?" is the wrong answer to that question.

lyrics

I’m a guilty soul
I thought on my own
I’d change where we’re going

But here I still am
Feeling all scammed
Broke and still paying

(Whistling)

No Instagram Reels
Or Facebook Lives
Will get things rolling

So I’m wondering
If this is my thing
And who am I fooling?

I scream into the void
I scream into the void
Nobody answers
Beholden to their masters
The algorithms changing faster
Another stillborn beauty voided again
I scream into that void

It’s not people I reach
Just gatekeeper code
Love with a price tag

It’s funny and sad
A code makes me mad
And I forget what I came here for

I scream into the void
I scream into the void
Nobody answers
Beholden to their masters
The algorithms changing faster
Another stillborn beauty voided again
I scream into that void

Marketing tools
For all of us fools
Look at my trajectory
It might be reversed
At least I rehearsed
And nail it later

(Whistling)

I scream into the void
I scream into the void
Nobody answers
Beholden to their masters
The algorithms changing faster
Another stillborn beauty voided again
I scream into that void

Nobody answers
Beholden to their masters
The algorithms changing faster
Another stillborn beauty voided again

about

The Fisherman & The Sea Helsinki, Finland

From Finland – a country that allegedly holds more metal bands than park rangers are able to rescue from their gothic photoshoots in the hinterlands, and where disoriented polar bears roam downtown shopping centres – hail singer-songwriter Jon Eden and his band. His roots also put him in Hamburg, Germany thus planting him somewhere in the Baltic Sea in compromise – hence the name of the band. ... more
