At some point you're going to look back at what caused a hardship in your life and sometimes you will find that it wasn't actually of your own doing. Realizing that it'll warrant a closer look at what and perhaps who caused the hardship that needlessly suffered. In our case, you were simply promised something far superior to what you where able to achieve from it. You have been forced to pay money for feeling ridiculed and shoved aside as "uninteresting". That's not how anything that brands itself "social" or even "cool" should work, now is it? But promising everyone they're going to be the teacher's pet while only delivering that promise to a select few has got to be one of the oldest trick in the marketing book. Still doesn't make it right by any means, and you're never wrong to call them out for it! More power to you!
