Social media is built to hook you, to spend more time on it than you would or should – right up to the point where it might start feeling like an addiction. What happens in the end is though that you might end up feeling more alone than before you got on social media because everyone else's lives seem unattainable and while the platforms might look like they want you to socialize, you start to feel even more distant and are drifting/surfing along to a newsfeed designed by the algorithm to keep you hooked. This song is about the algorithm getting the better of you.
