about

Shocked by the videos of police brutality against black Americans and peaceful protesters shared on Twitter after the murder of George Floyd, Jon wrote this song in 5 minutes for BlowUpRadio's Weekly Songwriting Challenge themed "Frustration".
A 100% of this song's revenue will be directed towards the NAACP.

lyrics

A law-abiding citizen can never do no wrong
But pigmentation changes and you're citizen no more
A law-abiding citizen will never be alone
Except when they come calling, then it's us against the law

Someone call the police off
Someone call the police
Someone call the police off
Someone call the real police

A true believer in their liberty can never fail
But raise your voice too much and you'll be on your way to jail
A true believer in their liberty will have an end
To his patience when he's locked out into his own hell

Someone call the police off
Someone call the police
Someone call the police off
Someone call the real police

Someone call the police off
Someone call the police
Someone call the police off
Someone call the real police

A law-abiding citizen can never do no wrong
A law-abiding citizen will never be alone
A law-abiding citizen can never do no wrong
A law-abiding citizen will never be alone

Someone call the police off
Someone call the police
Someone call the police off
Someone call the real police

Someone call the police off
Someone call the police
Someone call the police off
Someone call the real police

The Fisherman & The Sea Helsinki, Finland

From Finland – a country that allegedly holds more metal bands than park rangers are able to rescue from their gothic photoshoots in the hinterlands, and where disoriented polar bears roam downtown shopping centres – hail singer-songwriter Jon Eden and his band. His roots also put him in Hamburg, Germany thus planting him somewhere in the Baltic Sea in compromise – hence the name of the band. ... more
